Portrait of Ella Marshall
Ella Marshall is an artist, poet and storyteller based near Glasgow, Scotland. Her creative life began early, shaped by a family line of artists and by a childhood spent drawing, observing and learning how images can hold feeling.
Her work carries the atmosphere of old journals, candlelit rooms, Scottish landscapes, wolves, memory, resilience and love.
Through White Wolf Studio, Ella creates original artwork, handcrafted cards, poetry, personal commissions and visual stories designed to make people feel seen, remembered and cherished.
White Wolf painting
The White Wolf is more than a studio symbol. It represents strength, independence, grace, survival, tenderness and the ability to belong without losing the self.
Ella has painted wolves since childhood. They have followed her through every chapter, every canvas, every quiet creative season.
They are not tame, and they are not fearsome. They are present. They are loyal. They see through the shadow and still choose the light.
Ella's work is forged in shadow and painted in light.
Every piece begins with a person, a feeling or a moment worth holding. Commission work begins here — with your story.
Ideas find shape in pencil. Compositions, details and emotional weight are worked through before paint ever touches paper.
Watercolour, ink, gouache and patience. Each piece is hand-painted, one brushstroke at a time, in a real studio in Scotland.
Every card, print and commission is delivered ready to give or to keep — something real, made with care, made to last.
A personal piece begins with a story. Tell Ella who it is for, what it needs to hold, and what feeling should remain.
